Our Story
After graduating from the University of Georgia and serving his country in the U.S. Army, Jack H. Lott moves home to Waycross, GA and opens a General Electric appliance store in the Ware Hotel Building (Corner of Elizabeth and Tebeau St.)
Jack moves the business to a larger space at 720 Albany Ave. and adds home furnishings. The business name is changed to Lott Furniture and Appliance Co.
Jack’s son, Jack E. Lott, joins the business after graduating from the University of Georgia.
Lott’s Furniture Outlet was opened across the street in downtown Waycross at 406 Mary St.
Founder, Jack Hopkins Lott, passes away.
Laura Lott Harris (third generation) joins the family business. After graduating from Georgia Tech and working in the corporate world in Atlanta, Laura moves back and opens a second location in Fernandina Beach at 1112 S. 14th St.
Lott’s rebrands and launches new logo.
Lott’s Fernandina Beach moves to a new location at 2110 Sadler Rd.
With business growing, Lott’s purchases a 40,000 sq. ft. distribution center at 701 Victory Dr. Waycross, GA.
Lott’s celebrates 75 years!
